Apparently, it’s not just me. In today’s Washington Post, sportswriter Tom Boswell talks about the sudden surge of enthusiasm for the NHL’s Washington Capitals.
Boswell chalks up the interest to the Caps strong performance this year, which has them owning the fourth-best record in hockey.
Maybe. But don’t discount HD TV.

I think Boswell is on the right track. With the Caps stirring finish last season and losing a heart breaking 7 game playoff series, a lot of people began to notice them. This year, with the Wizards off to their worst start in years and the Redskins flubbing down the stretch, they're the only winning ticket in town. And yes, I would have to agree, the HD is AMAZING.

I agree. I think the snub the fans gave Ovechkin for the All Star game (plus all the other Caps who were overlooked) shows the lack of respect. It'll get better.
